On 24th March 2025, 33 incredible business leaders swapped their warm beds for sleeping bags at the magnificent Leeds Castle, all in the name of tackling homelessness. CEO Sleepout UK brought together compassionate individuals for a night of reflection, camaraderie, and fundraising – and Team Oasis made a huge impact!
An Unforgettable Experience
With temperatures dropping to 0°C (yes, there was ice on sleeping bags!), the conditions were tough, but the spirit of the group remained high. There were plenty of laughs—especially when attempting to wriggle into sleeping bags—but the underlying reason for the event was never far from our minds.
At 1 a.m., as the chill set in, thoughts turned to those who face this reality every night. Mothers fleeing abuse, forced to choose between safety and shelter for their children. Families who find themselves homeless with nowhere to turn. For us, it was just one night—but for many, it’s an ongoing battle.
An Incredible Effort by Team Oasis
The 12 amazing members of Team Oasis – all business leaders and executives from Kent and London – raised an incredible £12,000. This money will go towards ensuring that families living in fear have somewhere to flee to, and the support to build a new life.
Why We Took Part
Home should be a place of safety. Yet, in Kent alone, over 1,100 adults were made homeless due to domestic abuse in 2022/23. Oasis Domestic Abuse Service supports survivors, providing them with a refuge to heal and rebuild their lives.
By taking part in CEO Sleepout, we’ve helped raise awareness and vital funds to support these families in need. 75% of all funds raised by our supporters will go directly to Oasis to provide safe accommodation, counselling, and long-term support for survivors of abuse. The remaining 25% will be shared amongst other UK homelessness charities.
