The Friends have raised thousands of pounds for Oasis over the years and, because of them, we can help survivors of domestic abuse in all sorts of ways, giving them what they need, when they need it.
Funds raised by the Friends have paid for, among other things; school uniforms, glasses, nappies, travel to hospital appointments, cots for babies, kitchen utensils for families having to start again and beds for women who would otherwise have to sleep on the floor.
When someone needs to flee to refuge because it isn’t safe for them to stay at home, this money means they can get themselves to a place of safety.

Josh’s story
In an Oasis young person’s mentoring session, Josh said he would love to be an Owl Keeper. The Friends of Oasis purchased a pair of binoculars so he could go on nature walks looking for birds of prey. He has no access to green space at home. This gift has increased Josh's opportunity for positive activity. For his final mentoring session, he was taken on a bird spotting trip. Josh said he had an ``awesome time!``.
Stories like Josh’s continue to have a positive impact, long after our mentoring programme ends.
The Friends of Oasis have supported a number of our projects and services over the years and we are so grateful.
The gift of friendship
The number of people we help grows every year. With the support from our Friends we are able to do so much more.
